Florida Dance Theatre 25th Anniversary

Lakeland, FL

There is a lot going on at FDT for our 2018-19 anniversary season. We are excited to announce our 25th Anniversary Season opener, “Peter Pan” in collaboration with the Imperial Symphony for one night only, on Saturday September 29th at Branscomb Auditorium. This partnership will be the first time Polk County’s two professional performing arts organizations will work together to produce a captivating, full-length story ballet and make it relevant for today’s audiences. Children from around the county will participate alongside the professional company. Dance and live classical music are the perfect partners, and the visual excitement of this ballet coupled with the evocative orchestra music will make this production an ideal alliance.
The rest of our season will be just as tremendous with our annual production of The Nutcracker in December, and our Fit n Fierce Dance Festival in February. We will conclude the season with a 25th Anniversary Celebration Gala. Former teaching faculty and dancers from over the past 25 years will be invited along with the general public to celebrate with us as Florida Dance Theatre ushers in a new era of quality dance education and entertainment for Polk County and beyond
