Universal Ballet Competition

Universal Ballet Competition is excited to be celebrating our 5th Season. We are so proud to be considered a leader, innovator and educator of ballet dancers at our competitions.

Once again for 2018 we will be in Atlanta, Georgia and Miramar, Florida, two cities that surely bring incredible talent.

This seasons summer intensive scholarships include American Ballet Theater, The Joffrey Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Houston Ballet, Dance Theater of Harlem, Alvin Ailey School, Alonzo King Lines, Modas Dance, Pennsylvania Ballet School and Sarasota Ballet. With these scholarship opportunities, dancers will be one step closer to become the professionals they dream of.

In addition to the scholarships, we are very honored to have the following esteemed panel of judges and master teachers joining us for 2018; Cynthia Harvey, American Ballet Theater, Lindsay Fisher, National Ballet of Canada, Charmaine Hunter, AIvin Ailey School, Wes Chapman, International Master Teacher, Duncan Cooper, Modas Dance, and Claudio Munoz, Houston Ballet.

For the first time in the competition,  we will be having a Performance Gala in each city in honor of our 5th Anniversary. The gala will feature a wine and cheese event for the teachers followed by special performances by world-renowned guest artists.  This will be a truly special evening for the dancers and teachers and everyone who attends.

The goal of UBC is to educate, teachers, parents and students about the ballet profession and to help prepare for the challenges that may come along. We invite parents and teachers to come to observe our master classes, giving them a view into the life of a professional ballet class. We then invite them to stay for the beautifully organized competition that follows.

All competitors have the unique opportunity to participate in Master Classes presented by international and national esteemed teachers. While taking classes, students are being observed for scholarship considerations that will be awarded at the end of the competition.

For the competition portion, dancers are required to compete in traditional classical repertoire as well as a contemporary piece. We continue to include intermediate and advance levels of competition so that very dancer has an opportunity to showcase their level of training.

We are now accepting registration for the competition and tickets for the Gala can be purchased at our website. For more information about our competition please visit us at
